About APICET:
Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common entrance Test (APICET) is conducted for admission to colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh offering MBA and MCA programmes. APICET is conducted, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh state Council of Higher education, by Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupati.
APICAT is conducted in online mode in over 43 cities for admission in more than 290 colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The exam evaluates a candidate on the basis of their Analytical skills, mathematical skills, and communication skills. A candidate is presented with 200 questions in MCQ format, from the above mentioned skills, under the maximum time offered of 150 minutes.
APICET 2020 Eligibility:
- A candidate applying for the APICET 2020 should have graduated with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD students) or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university(by UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB) or are in their final year of graduation (heir admission will remain provisional until submission of the passing certificate).
- Candidate applying for APICET 2020 should be an Indian National and should confirm to local/non-local status required as per government rule.
For MCA the additional criteria applicable are as follows:
- Candidates applying for APICET 2020 for admissions to MCA program should be a resident of the state.
- Must have a 3-year degree with Mathematics as one of a subject at intermediate or degree level.
- For MCA lateral entry, a candidate must have a degree in IT/CS with mathematics at 10+2 or degree level or BCA.
- No age restrictions are stated by the Authorities conducting APICET.
APICET Cutoff:
The qualifying cutoff for general student is 50 marks out of 200 and for SC/ST there is no such criterion. Admission through APICET is based on ranks scored in the exam, for a candidate to secure a rank in the top ten he/she/they had to score a mark in between 171 to 200 out of maximum marks.
APICET 2020 Registration process:
- The registration procedure starts with the candidate registering themselves by providing their details and preferences online.
- Once registered successfully, the payment of ₹ 550 as the registration fee has to be made. Late admission fee of ₹ 2,000 is applicable for the candidates registering after the missing of registration dates.
- After registering online and successfully paying the registration fee, candidates can proceed by filling the APICET 2020 application form. A Candidate is required to select the desired PG program and institutes and enter relevant details at the time of filling application form.
- After the registration is completed, candidates are provided with their Admit cards by the conducting authorities.

APICET Exam Pattern:
- Authorities conducting APICET, APSCHE, prescribes the mode of exam, number of sections, marking scheme and types of questions. The exam would be of 150 minutes long in which a candidate has to answer 200 Questions (MCQs).
- The marking scheme in APICET exam is: for every correct answer 1 mark would be awarded. The test does not have any negative marking.
- Questions in APICET will be asked from the three sections:
Section A: Analytical Ability: 75 questions
- Data sufficiency: 20 questions
- Problem solving: 55 questions
Section B: Mathematical Ability: 75 questions
- Arithmetical Ability: 35 questions
- Algebraical and Geometrical ability: 30 questions
- Statistical Ability: 10 questions
Section C: Communicative Ability: 50 questions
- Vocabulary: 10 questions
- Business & computer skills: 10 questions
- Functional Grammar: 15 questions
- Reading Comprehension: 15 questions
APICET 2020 Counselling:
APSCE sends notifications to the qualified candidates about the counselling details, the date wise ranks of candidate who are required to attend the counselling session in person for registration, verification of certificates and admission process.
APICET qualifying candidates are selected on the basis of their merit, Rank scored in APICET 2020 exam, and their performance in the Group discussion (GD) and Personal interview (PI) rounds and the availability of seats in the chosen colleges according to their choice of preference.

- Passport-size multiple photographs
- Original degree/provisional certificate
- Study/Bonafide certificate from IX to degree
- Caste certificate, PH/NCC/CAP/Sports and games certificates (if applicable)
- Original and photocopy of Counselling letter
- Original and photocopy of Admit card
- 10th and 12th standard original and photocopy marks-sheet and certificate.
